Luke Lollis

Over Luke’s 20 years in the fitness industry, he has been the General Manager / District Manager / Fitness Director of 24-hour fitness and Gold’s Gym. In 2013, he left corporate fitness to start Forward Fitness (formerly known as The Lab) with the goal to create a space where everybody can get help- the days of having to figure every workout routine out on your own are over. He specializes in kettlebell workouts and mobility improvements. Luke holds numerous fitness certifications, including NASM PES and CES, StrongFirst SFG I and StrongFirst SFL.

Luke loves movies and is the Father of 3: 12 year old twins and a six year old. During his workouts he can be found listening to 90s hip-hop.

Derek has a B.S. in Exercise Science. He’s a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, a Functional Range Conditioning Mobility Specialist, and a Tacfit Instructor. His specialties are Strength, Mobility, Human movement/performance, and Powerlifting. Derek has worked in the fitness industry since 2001. He’s personally been training and working out since 1993.

He’s interested in working out, cooking, reading, and being active. If he wasn’t in the training profession Derek would want to create healthy and tasty dishes for people instead.

Katie has SFG II (StrongFirst Girya), SFL (StrongFirst Lifter), TFW (Training for Warriors), FMS (Functional Movement Systems), GFM (Ground Force Method), (Girls Gone Strong Pre & Post Natal, ISSA (International Sports Sciences Association) certification. She earned her ISSA certification in 2016. The next year, Katie earned her GFM Level 1 and joined Forward. Then she worked toward her SFG1 and FMS Level 1. As she coached group classes and personal training that she developed a passion for coaching women. She wants to help women find themselves through strength training, nutrition guidance, and by building a comfortable gym environment. She has two kids. As a family, they enjoy camping, ice cream dates, and hanging out in their backyard.

Josh McDonald

Over her 14 years of playing and coaching roller derby, Jen developed a love for helping women grow in strength, power, determination, and confidence. She harnessed that passion to include earning an A.A.S. degree as a Health and Fitness Technician, as well as a StrongFirst Girya Level 1 Certification. She specializes in corrective exercise with a focus on prehab/rehab exercises, pregnancy/postpartum, and sports performance.

When not at the gym or on her skates, Jen can be found making elaborate costumes, reading Japanese and Korean comics, soaking up the sun reading a book, or wrangling her rambunctious children.

Daniel is an ACE certified fitness professional and SFG Level I Kettlebell Instructor. He is also certified in Functional Movement Systems Level I and II. Having grown up being very active and playing multiple sports, Daniel’s passion for health and fitness was renewed later in life when he quit a two-pack-a-day smoking habit and joined a local gym. His training emphases are functional strength, athletic development and nutrition. Outside of the gym, he particularly enjoys playing basketball, riding his road bike, and cooking.

As a coach, Daniel’s desire is to help people be able to do the things they need to do and to enjoy the things they choose to do.

Sam is a certified fitness professional through The National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). After being a member at Forward Fitness Sam developed her own passion for health and fitness. She realized how much it changed her life that she wanted to do the same for others. She is passionate about making working out a positive part of people’s lives. Sam plans to further her education by next pursuing a Strong First Certification.

Outside of the gym you can find Sam spending time with her husband and their two young children, Miles and Reese. As a family, they enjoy biking, camping, swimming, and spending time with their family and friends.

Kim Pzegeo

Kim has a B.S. in Kinesiology: Exercise Science. She’s an ACE (American Council on Exercise) Certified Personal Trainer, a USA Triathlon Coach Level 1, a Pregnancy and Postpartum Athleticism Coach, a TRX Suspension Trainer, and a Training for Warrior Coach. She’s also been a Russian Kettlebell Certified Coach and a Postnatal Fitness Specialist. Kim specializes in Pregnancy and Postpartum Fitness, Endurance Coaching, Kettlebells, Injury Prevention and Post Rehab, and Functional Training. She’s worked for over seven years as a coach for one on one training and group fitness train in the strength and conditioning field.

She believes that exercise makes you feel good on a physical and emotional level. Kim is passionate about educating others to elevate their lives using the knowledge and power of strength training and lifestyle changes. Her hobbies are racing in Triathlons, photography, and cooking. She was once an audience member on TRL.
